Fairtrade Events in Burnley

 

Saturday 1st March

Igtenhill Methodist Church - Fairtrade Coffee Morning

Ightenhill Methodist Church will be holding a Fairtrade Coffee morning. There will be a tea, coffe, food and accessories available.

 

Time: 10am - 12pm

Entrance: Adults £1.00, children 50p. Open to the general public.

Venue: Igtenhill Methodist Church, Padiham Road, Burnley, BB12 6ST.

Tuesday 4th March

Fairtrade Talk and Video Evening

Parkside Methodist Church are hosting a Fairtrade Talk and Video Evening to support Fairtrade Fortnight. Come along to learn about Fairtrade, watch a Fairtrade video and enjoy a Fairtrade coffee or tea in a relaxed enviroment.

There will also be Fairtrade goods on sale.

Time: 7.30pm. Open to the general public.

Venue: Parkside Methodist Church, Cog Lane, Burnley

 

Soroptimist's Fairtrade Evening

Burnley Soroptimists are holding a Fairtrade Evening to  talk about the Fairtrade Foundation and issues.

There will be fairtrade goods on sale.

Time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Friday 7th March

 

Burnley's Fairtrade Fashion Show

Hameldon Community College and Blessed Trinity will be hosting Burnley's first ever Fairtrade Fashion Show at Burnley Youth Theatre on Friday 7th march at 7.30pm.

The show will feature a range of of coulorful male and female Fairtrade clothes from suppliers such as Tesco, M & S, Hug, and Ethical Threds, all shown off to a backdrop of funky electro ethnic beats and a Fairtrade video screen projection.

Time: 6.30pm

Entrance: By invitation only

Venue: Burnley Youth Theatre

Sainbury's - Fairtrade Make a Difference Day!

On Saturday 2nd February Sainsbury’s Burnley will celebrate the conversion of 100% of its Red label tea to Fairtrade by treating all customers to a free Fairtrade tea bag. 

There will also be a free Fairtrade cotton gift for customers spending over £5 on Fairtrade gifts in-store. Fairtrade is the theme for Sainsbury’s 11th Make the difference d.
