KITTY BACKS PLANS TO BUILD A GYMNASTIC CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE.

On Friday 8th June Kitty Ussher MP for Burnley, will meet to discuss the possible development of a 70 Acre site for the development of a Gymnastic Centre of Excellence in Lancashire.

Kitty will meet with,
Craig Heap - Gold Medal Gymnast
Dave Tomlinson - NHS representative
Mike Lochett - British Gymnastics North West Development Officer
John Drury - Gymnastics and Community Development Advisor
Stewart Kellett - Sport England Head, North West

They plan to discuss their visions for the centre and funding ideas for the project, which will be named the 'Craig Heap School of Gymnastics', and will take over a million pounds to build, but plans to buy a site in Pendle and sell of parts of it should go a substantial way towards funding the project. There are also plans to use part of the site for the NHS Inpatient facility for East Lancashire.
Kitty said

"This is a very exciting project with enormous potential for improving the lives of people living in east Lancashire. the Gymnastic centre will integrate sport, health and employment, creating thousands of jobs for people living in the local area, raising the profile of the region and contributing to the health and well being of the area."
