Kitty is thrilled with Padiham's success

It has been announced today that Padiham has successfully won funding from the Big Lottery People's Millions to transform the Riverside Nature Trail along the River Calder in Padiham.

Padiham won the funding in a televised competition on ITV Granada, held yesterday, which saw Padiham going up against a project in Warrington for the public vote. Padiham won, despite Warrington being a much larger Town.

Kitty Ussher States

"Congratulations Padiham! What an achievement, it's so fantastic that everyone in Padiham and Burnley has pulled together to make Padiham's Riverside nature Trail a reality. Thank you to all those who worked on the bid and to everyone who voted - we did it!"
