KITTY DELIGHTED WITH THE NEW DIRECT BURNLEY TO MANCHESTER TRAIN!

Kitty Ussher MP delighted with the new direct train service between Burnley and Manchester!

Burnley MP, Kitty Ussher has welcomed the new direct train service between Burnley and Manchester which will begin on Monday 10th December. Kitty has been campaigning to get better rail links into Manchester and is extremely pleased that her meetings with Northern Rail and leaflet campaign has helped make this new service a reality!
Kitty Ussher said:

“This is fantastic news for Burnley, a direct train service between Burnley and Manchester will benefit my constituents enormously. It will mean less hassle and much easier access into the heart of Manchester for jobs and leisure. Burnley deserves better rail links and this service is the first step towards that.”The new direct train service which will be run by Northern Rail, will start out at Colne, call at Burnley Central & Barracks and other stations and end at Manchester Victoria. Initially, there will be a morning and evening train but further alterations will be looked at as part of Northern Rails drive to meet customers needs.

This means that people in Burnley no longer have to change trains to get to Manchester. They no longer have to worry about missing connecting trains, or heavy traffic if they’re driving – they can simply get on a direct train to Manchester.
