Kitty to fight call centre job closures at Shop Direct

Kitty Ussher has today contacted the Chief Operating Officer of the Shop Direct Group, in response to the news that it is planning to close its Burnley contact centre.
Kitty has asked for a meeting urgently with the COO, and has asked him whether there is anything that she can do to prevent Shop Direct from closing the site.
The company have stated that they will create 350 new roles, by introducing flexible shift patterns, and Kitty is lobby for these to be made available to her constituents.
Kitty Ussher said; "Obviously this is deeply distressing news for hundreds of my constituents and their families. I am seeking a meeting urgently with those in charge, where I will do whatever I can to get the best possible outcome for my constituents".
